I will help you assess the way you stand, sit, and walk.  Together we will find the ways in which everyday activities puts your body “out of line”.

The correction of irregularities in your posture will make your body function better and reduce pain.  Together we will find functional fitness where even slight improvements to the way you move can relieve chronic pain.

Expanded lung capacity, focus on the lower lobes of the lungs.  Unlike yoga where breath is directed towards the belly, Pilates activate breathing uses the diaphragm to open up the sides and back of the ribcage unlike yoga where breathing focuses on the belly.

Pilates is all about control and concentration.  Exercises target specific joints and muscles with precision and control.   This mind-body connection empowers feel self-awareness. Pilates breathing can activate the parasympathetic nervous system which relieves stress and can boost your mood and immunity.

Gives more control and support over tasks such as lifting or sporting activities. It also decreases risk of injury as muscles are both strengthen or lengthened to mobilise your joints.  Symptoms of a weak core is often the cause of lower back pain.
